About/Contact

Hey! I’m Sarah. I live in Chicago where I work as a theater administrator. Specifically, I run an after-school program for CPS students in seven schools and I write grants. My husband–aka “the hubs” aka Danny–and I just bought a new construction town home and will soon be furnishing it with stuff found all over the city. One of the main reasons we purchased the house is for our growing family; we are in the process of adopting a child through open, domestic adoption. We are also the loving parents of one active Goldendoodle named Elphaba (for the main character in one of our favorite musicals). In addition to all that, I have lived since the age of 12 with an autoimmune disease call Rheumatoid Arthritis. It can cause pain and damage to the joints, so I try to stay as active as possible to keep it in check. This all adds up to a pretty busy life that I love sharing with anyone whose interested and, maybe, inspiring others to do the same.

I’m also pretty in to the NFL, Northern Michigan, Instagram, baking, NPR, vegetarianism, reality TV (I know), mid-century modern furniture, other blogs, baby stuff, and quality time spent with friends and family.

Let me know what you are all about and/or if you have any thoughts on any of this stuff. I love hearing from people!
