year of fun

I first saw #ootd on Instagram a few months ago. (It stands for outfit of the day). At first, I thought it was a little too close to the “selfie” for me to feel comfortable participating. But then I had a discovery: I really like seeing what my friends wear, so I should probably also participate myself. I’ve done it a few times now, when I’ve felt particularly good about what I’m wearing. People liking the photos only boosted my self confidence.

Today I didn’t really #ootd my whole outfit, just my shoes because they were my main source of joy. (It was warm enough for Sperry’s without socks!) But here are a few examples of my #ootd.

On this the last day of YouTube week, I’ve decided to share a video from my phone. I have a few embarrassing ones of people at parties and/or weddings but I think I’ll keep those private. This one is still funny though. And lovable. Well, to me at least.

The problem is that, in order for me to actually upload a video on to WordPress, I would have to buy a $60 upgrade. I’m not going to do that, but I will post the video to the Year of Fun Facebook page. So if you go to this link, you can view the video. And maybe also like my page?

I’ve heard a lot about this series but had not watched it until tonight. This one is my clear favorite. Though the very first one with Michael Cera is pretty great too. Don’t try this at home?

Like the young man from Franklin, I too was raised to “do unto others.” Yet, I don’t know if, as a high schooler, I had this kind of amazing generosity. Tears.
