April 7th, 2013 marks the hubs and my first married anniversary. Since we did a destination wedding, we did not take much of a honeymoon (just stayed a few days longer in Mexico). To make up for that, we are now planning a European Anniversary Getaway!
I spent much of my day looking for hotels on Trip Advisor and Home Away. We are thinking of staying in a hotel in London and an apartment in Paris. I’ve been to both cities many years ago but the hubs has not been to either. I’m excited to go again, show him around and use some of my French language skills.
Looking for hotels can be headache producing but I enjoyed refamiliarizing myself with the city maps, imagining where we’d go and what we’d do. We have yet to book anything but I think I made headway in my research today. Though if anyone has any hotel or apartment recommendations in either city, message me!

That sounds fantastic! Ben and I are planning a similar trip (London, Paris) for a year from now– primarily to visit my godkids in England. The last time I was traveling in Europe I found a lot of great places to stay at hostelz.com, a database that also allows you the option of searching for a hotel or apartment. The reviews were really helpful (especially since their are plenty of dodgy places to weed out). I will pick your brain for suggestions when we’re closer to our trip! {Also- I love your blog.
